Becoming a sommelier was not Karl’s first career choice. While pursuing a career in music composition after attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Karl discovered his passion for wine and its endless expressions. That passion was nurtured while working for four years at Two Michelin Star ’Minibar by José Andrés’. During this time at Minibar, he earned his Certified Sommelier Certification, and lead the wine program there as Head Sommelier. At Mirabelle, Karl is dedicated to producing a world-class wine program, with a focus on French varietals, and accessible (delicious!) wines.
